R.T.R+ How To Use
RTR+ & RTR+ Membrane Application Guide:
1. Pre-operative Planning:
- Patient Assessment: Review the patient's medical and dental history. Perform a clinical and radiographic examination to assess the bone defect or extraction site.
- Treatment Plan: Develop a comprehensive treatment plan, detailing the use of RTR+ for bone regeneration.
2. Preparation of the Surgical Site:
- Anaesthesia: Administer local anaesthesia to ensure the patient's comfort during the procedure.
- Incision and Flap Design: Make a flap to expose the bone defect or extraction site, providing adequate access.
3. Defect Preparation:
- Debridement: Thoroughly debride the site to remove any granulation tissue, infected tissue or debris, creating a clean environment for regeneration.
4. Preparing RTR+:
- Selection: Choose the appropriate formulation of RTR+ based on the required resorption rate.
- Hydration: Hydrate the granules with sterile saline or the patient’s blood to enhance handling and integration with the surrounding tissue.
5. Placement of RTR+:
- Filling the Defect: Carefully place the hydrated RTR+ granules into the bone defect or extraction socket. Pack the granules gently to ensure they fill the space completely but avoid over-packing, which can impede vascularisation.
- Contouring: Shape the granules to mimic the natural contour of the bone, ensuring they conform well to the defect site.
6. RTR+ Membrane Application:
- Covering the granules: Select the appropriate size of RTR+ Membrane and place over the granules to prevent soft tissue infiltration and enhance bone regeneration.
- Secure the membrane in place using appropriate techniques eg sutures.
7. Flap Closure:
- Tension-Free Closure: Ensure the flap is closed without tension to promote optimal healing.
- Suturing: Use appropriate suturing techniques to achieve primary closure of the flap.
8. Postoperative Care:
- Ensure patient is given post-operative guidance care.
